Overview
Hydro excavation is a great alternative to mechanical excavating when the job calls for precise digging. To those who are not familiar, it can be described as the process whereby a high-pressure water stream is used to cut through soil while a vacuum simultaneously removes the byproduct into a slurry tank stored on the vehicle. The hydro excavator allows us to be very precise and consistent without striking a utility. While this is not a replacement for mechanical excavation, it functions to capitalize on aspects that are difficult to isolate without causing unnecessary damage.
