Manistee WWTP

About

This Project

We are proud to have successfully completed the Manistee Clean Water Recovery Improvement Project as the general contractor. This project included several significant improvements, such as the construction of a new headworks building, sanitary sewer bore and jack under the railroad tracks, installation of new sanitary and storm sewers, and the addition of three above-ground storage tanks. Each of these tanks has a capacity of 2 million gallons, allowing for a total storage capacity of 6 million gallons. These tanks serve as a vital resource for managing excessive water flow during heavy rains or snowmelt, preventing the discharge of untreated water into the Manistee River.

One major highlight of the project was the development of a brand-new headworks building. This facility played a crucial role in managing water influx into the new storage tanks, while the existing headworks building continued to oversee the overall operations of the plant. These enhancements have significantly increased the plant’s capacity, resulting in smoother and more efficient processes.
