Overview
Hydro excavation provides an excellent alternative to mechanical excavating, especially when precise digging is required. It involves the use of a high-pressure water stream to cut through the soil, while a vacuum system simultaneously removes the byproduct into a slurry tank on the vehicle. With hydro excavation, we can achieve remarkable precision and consistency without the risk of damaging utilities. While it doesn’t replace mechanical excavation entirely, it effectively capitalizes on unique advantages while minimizing unnecessary damage.
